Monaco Government Tourist Bureau Asia Office, led by Benoit Badufle, successfully held its annual roadshow in Beijing and in Shanghai. Guests – including journalists, travel agents, corporate clients and VIPs – were undoubtedly impressed by what Monaco has to offer, as Monaco finally returned to these two capital cities.
Monaco Tourism Day in Beijing and Shanghai proved to be of many ‘firsts’: H.E. Mme Catherine Fautrier, Ambassador of Monaco to China, presented the ground-breaking dual-exhibition of Forbidden City and Grimaldi Royal Family of Monaco at a press conference in Beijing. Monaco Tourism also launched the new Monaco Travel Academy on WeChat platform, with the help of DragonTrail, to travel agents in China; Emirates’ first A380 to Nice, along with the Monacair helicopter transfer, was also prominently promoted during the event.
The press conference by H.E. Mme Catherine FAUTRIER invited journalists to the dual-exhibition between the Forbidden City of Beijing and Grimaldi Forum of Monaco. For the first time ever, the Forbidden City Exhibition will be presented at the Grimaldi Forum, and in return, the exhibition on Grimaldi Royal Family will be presented at the Forbidden City. Journalists were well-intrigued by the news. Not only will the exhibition reinforce the ties between China and Monaco, it will also increase the tourism numbers between the two countries.
