The 3rd Annual ICESAP (Incentive, Convention and Events Society Asia Pacific) Conference took place at St. Regis Hotel Singapore from 30 November 2016 to 2 December 2016. As an advisory board member for the association, Mr. Benoit Badufle was invited to the event to meet key personnel in the MICE industry of Asia Pacific.

The three-day event attracted more than 160 delegates and featured a cocktail networking evening, full-day conference followed by a gala awards dinner, and a half-day of innovation workshops. A series of keynote presentations and panel discussions took place throughout the conference. Singapore Tourism Board Chief Executive Lionel Yeo welcomed delegates to the Lion City, while Banyan Tree Executive Chairman, Ho Kwon Ping, presented a keynote speech on the destabilisation of globalisation and liberal democracy following Brexit and Trump’s presidency.

The conference aims to educate professionals in the MICE industry through workshops, experience-sharing and panel discussions. There was also an Awards Gala on 1 December to reward companies who have performed better than its competitors and are good examples for others to follow.

Following the conference, it was also announced that Accor Hotels Asia Pacific signed a 3-year contract with ICESAP in strengthening the commitment to professionalize the MICE industry, specifically in its Accreditation Programme.
